Sharon K. Solomon

Growing up an identical twin in western Pennsylvania influenced Sharon’s early years. The Carnegie Free Library was her favorite place to get books and go to Story Hour each Friday with her sister.

Libraries and books are still vital for Sharon’s daily existence. The author of eight books for children, the genres range from science plays to picture book fiction and biographies, to middle grade and teen novels.

“I look for ideas everywhere I go and they seem to fall in my lap,” Sharon said. Her latest book is The Pencil That Would Not Die.
