Peter Shianna

In addition to my novels, my writing has appeared in the Rockhurst Review, the Kansas City Star, and numerous anthologies.

I grew up in Illinois where I worked on farms, dug graves, pumped gasoline, poured cement, soda jerked, and labored in a wire mill and a slaughter house.

A B.A. in economics from Loras College and an M.A. in English from Northern Illinois University opened many doors.  After teaching briefly at Northern Illinois University and the University of Cincinnati, the private sector called, and I enjoyed several executive positions with financial services companies, including Vice President, Field Operations.

A  pilot, I enjoy the arts, travel, golf, pickleball, and poker . My wife Lori and I live in Florida.  We have two grown children.
