Carrie Murgittroyd
Carrie Murgittroyd has been writing for years. Her career as a government employee for the State of Michigan included writing for the governor and researching, writing, and editing for the Legislative Service Bureau. She also did some writing on the side, personal essays and a magazine article or two.
After retirement, she began experimenting with fiction and eventually wrote Death in Davisburgh, a historical novel inspired by actual events. Carrie is also part owner of and editor for Murcer Press, LLC, the independent publisher of Rick Murcer’s popular mystery thrillers.
Much of the source material for Carrie’s writing comes from her family—husband, two children and their spouses, and six grandchildren. She currently makes her home in Florida, but travels home to Michigan whenever she gets a chance.
