A courageous woman, Josie Flood was wounded through childhood traumas, then healed through her strength of will to live. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was raised between New Jersey’s farmlands and the hills of Greenup, Kentucky. By the age of four, her story reveals the depths of trauma she experienced.

In her book, “Unbound: Breaking Free from the Chains of Childhood Abuse” Josie Flood shares the nightmare haunts, which clarifies the deep and daunting nights of Josie. Every day, she passed by the darkest and most distressing trauma. Even most of the nights, she had to sleep in a car to escape abuse along with her children.

With personal courage, Josie shares her experiences until the age of 49-years-old when she decided to ask for help. She sought out anyone who could help her recover.

Then at 78 years of age, Josie reached out for assistance in writing her book, hoping it will help others. She also chose to consult a psychiatrist and address her childhood traumas. Since then, she has transformed her wounds into healing through the power of storytelling, offering a ray of hope for those moving at the same pace on their own challenging paths.
